Money Making Weekly Report - Week 9
| This is now the ninth week of my Money Making Mission. The aim being to try and earn money, using only free blogs and without any capital outlay. It's been a slower week money wise, than last week, but some of my 'friends' affiliate programs only pay out monthly. I've now topped £200 / US$370 so I'm quite pleased with how things are progressing. I think the figures below are self explanatory. All sums are cumulative for the nine weeks. Money Commission Junction - £48 AdSense $25.15 Amazon UK 51p You Gov £4.75. Adbrite $0.96 FriendFinderGroup $32.96 Advertising Revenue £36.40 Convergence Inc = $40.40 (over 18's only) Sexy Ads - $64.60 (over 18's only) DIY Dating - £19.26 Helium - 9c myLot - $8.03 As there are two currencies (USA and UK) involved the totals amount to the equivalent of: UK£204.58 or US$368.24 Moving on now to the blog's visitors. Referrals From Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. As you will see Top Lists are still well ahead in the referral stakes and are therefore 'My Top Directory'. King Of The Blogs has moved up into second position. What surprises me is that, many of the directories I submitted this blog to, still haven't even referred one visitor. Many of them appear to be a waste of time and effort. The figures below may give and indication of Blog Directories (and Blog Hit Exchanges) that may be worth joining. Top Lists - 100 King Of The Blogs - 23 Today - 20 Blogger Talk - 12 Blog Show Off - 10 Blog Hub - 6 eMarketing Blogs - 5 Blogdup - 5 2-Review - 4 Blogwise - 3 World Top Blogs - 2 Bulletize - 1 Globe Of Blogs - 1 My Blog 2U - 1 Bloglines - 1 Other Directories - 0 Referrals From Hit Exchange Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. As you will have read I am no longer using Hit Exchanges for this blog. I have transfered any clicks to other blogs that do no have AdSense adverts. I will drop these figures from my Weekly Reports in the near future. The figures do show, however, that these sort of things do work - if it's more traffic that you want. Blog Mad - 281 Blog Explosion - 244 Blog Soldiers - 224 Search Engine Referrals Google is now starting to do well, there were 51 referrals from their search engine last week. The others are pretty much static. Google - 101 (+51 on week) Technorati - 61 (+3) MSN - 7 (+3) Other Referrals My top five referrers from exchanging links are: My Quest To Make Money On The Internet (96) Just Call Me Juice Sports Blog (49) Fantasy Football And Stuff (44) The Million Dollar Experiment (43) JCM's RPG Art (24) . Congrats, Im now going to start working on the web part-time, as Ive managed to save some money up until I get my comics made.
And just somefeedback on Mylot, Opera browser's multiple windows (which means I can open some 20 discussions at once) and speed typing has given $8 over 6 hours, with $2 for images and $1 from 1 refererral.
It doesnt reach the salary of a McDonald's worker, I'll see if higher ratings and more referals can make it into something profitable.
My biggest success though was selling advertising on my future comic face-to-face, which Ive got a deal for about $190 monthly.

I think it's only with referrals that you can make a decent amount with myLot. Your hard work, for example, made me $1.89 to date - thanks! Now if there were perhaps a dozen or more each doing the same then ... well it would, at least be a lot better.
The advertising for your comics sounds promising - hope it continues.
