Weekly Report - Week 6
| Six weeks have flown by since I started my money making mission. Where does the time go? Anyway, I'll start off with the money situation this time. I had a boost this week from recieving payments from Convergence Inc ($40.40) and DIY Dating (£14.29). I have written about these two affiliate programs here and here. Note that Convergence Inc is for bloggers over the age of 18 only. As far as text advertising revenue goes Adsense appears to be better than Adbrite to date. Adbrite ads aren't as relevant to the subject matter of my blog as Adsense, thus less clicks. I think the figures below are self explanatory. Money AdSense $10.19 Amazon UK 51p You Gov £3.75. Adbrite $1.04 FriendFinderGroup $8.23 Advertising Revenue £36.40 DIY Dating - £14.29 Helium - 4c Convergence Inc - $40.40 As there are two currencies (USA and UK) involved the totals amount to the equivalent of: UK£88.20 or US$158.77 Moving on now to the blog's visitors. Visits. This weeks visits total 754, giving a cumulative (for 6 weeks) of 2342. Visitors have arrived from 46 countries though 80.9% are from the UK and USA. Referrals From Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. As you will see Top Lists have produced far more hits than all of the rest of the directories put together. It's not the biggest that produce the most referrals. Today, in second place, is also a relatively new directory, though they have been advertising heavily. Top Lists - 64 Today - 19 Blogger Talk - 6 Blogdup - 4 2-Review - 4 Blogwise - 3 Blog Show Off - 3 eMarketing Blogs - 2 Bulletize - 1 Globe Of Blogs - 1 My Blog 2U - 1 Bloglines - 1 Other Directories - 0 Referrals From Hit Exchange Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. Blog Mad - 276 Blog Explosion - 234 Blog Soldiers - 220 The above two sets of figures may give an indication of Blog Directories & Hit Exchange Directories worth joining. Search Engine Referrals It's good to see that referrals are now starting to come from Google's search engine, there were 10 last week. Technorati - 30 MSN - 1 Google - 11 Other Referrals My top three referrers from exchanging links are: Marco (42), Martin (42) and MissM25 (11). I've now received 127 hits from referrals I have exchanged links with. Thanks to all concerned. If anyone else would like to exchange links please send me an email or leave a comment. There have, of course, been other visitors where I can't be sure as to where they originated. These include some from forums, where I have left details of my blog, free ads such as with Post Your Ad 4 Free who have sent 9 referrals, and the result of comments I have left when visiting various blogs. There's a real hotchpotch of referers to this blog - 126 in total. I think that covers my week. I hope that by publishing this information, over the weeks to come, it may be of a help to readers.
