More Money With Referring Affiliates
| At the end of November I wrote a post called Money From Signing Up New Affiliates. I thought I'd expand a little on this subject today. A lot of bloggers have various affiliate ads on their blogs, and possibly make a little money out of this. It's often the problem, though, that there is insufficient traffic to the site to make this very profitable. Sure, all profit is good profit but, if you are going to try and make money, you might as well try to make it worthwhile. What a lot of people seem to overlook is that there is a second tier of profit available - and this is from signing up other affiliates to the same program. This doesn't always apply but it does in a lot of cases. The average commission available seems to be around 10% of what the person you have introduced earns. If you are lucky - and it is luck and numbers to a certain degree - you may just hit on someone who will make you a decent sum of money. As an example, I was 'lucky' enough to refer Jayne to a couple of affiliate programs and she has earnt me an acceptable amount of money - and for doing very little. Jayne signed up to the more adult affiliate programs Sexy Ads and Friend Finder Group that I have been dabbling with. She has gone to town and produced lots of blogs that seem to be doing good business for her. I just wish I'd signed her up for all of the programs she is promoting! One of her blogs, as an illustration, is Girls For You - please only visit this if you are over 18 and are very broadminded. Somehow, from her blogs, she makes good money and I'm fortunate to get a small slice of this - thus some of the checks/cheques I have reproduced on previous posts. Way back in the mid 1980's I was into network marketing, sometimes known as multi-level marketing. This taught me that it's not what you sell yourself that really matters, it's what others sell - who have signed up under you - that is all important. Now as I have previously mentioned a lot of the people that you 'sign up' will do very little. Out of every 20 there will possibly be one good or outstanding person. Then there will be a few who will do a little, but the majority will do nothing at all. I can give you a current example of this with the, often mentioned, myLot. I have 21 referrals and out of these 12 have made no money at all. Eight have had varying degrees of success (I am talking purely in a money sense here - some join programs like myLot for other reasons) and one, my Brazilian friend jcm has been outstanding by comparison. What I'm trying to say, in a long winded way, is that if you try and refer others to any affiliate program, or similar schemes, do not be disappointed if many of the people you introduce do absolutely nothing at all. You have to keep persevering until you find that 'special' one and also those who will tick away and produce a little business. That's it. My suggestion is that if you sign up for an affiliate program, and you can earn commission from introducing others, then have a go at doing so. And remember it's a numbers game - but you may just hit the jackpot! If you look at my Weekly Report from yesterday you will see affiliate programs that have been successful for me and what I've earned from them. It's early days with some of them but the potential is there. Good luck, Mike.
