PayPerPost Plus Blog Soldiers v Google AdSense
| A couple of catch up things today. PayPerPost: Further to Friday's post. I managed to submit my blog for approval on Saturday 27th and I had an email on Monday 29th confirming that my blog has been accepted. Very efficient. I haven't done anything further, as yet, but hope to do a couple of sponsored posts this week to get things moving. I wrote that I had heard good things about PayPerPost, which I have. However, Tom left a comment stating that, 'PPP is not the land of milk and honey!' This shows that, as in most things in life, there are two sides to every story. You can read Tom's full comment here. I'll form my own opinion on PayPerPost once I have tried everything out. Blog Soldiers: They have been sending emails out to members stating that: 'As it stands right now, Blog Soldiers, Blogexplosion, and BlogMad do not violate AdSense in any way.' They also write 'There is nothing in Blogsoldiers that violates the Terms of Service of Adsense.' It is up to individuals as to whether they agree with the Blog Soldiers statements - but I'm afraid I don't. I can confirm that a while back I had a 'warning' from AdSense while I was using Hit Exchanges. Google wrote: 'It has come to our attention that invalid clicks or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users of third-party programmes paid or provided with other incentives to visit your site. Such programmes may include, but are not limited to auto-surf, pay-to-surf, pay-to-read or pay-to-click sites.' They went on to say: 'As a reminder, any method of generating invalid clicks or impressions is strictly prohibited by our Terms & Conditions and programme policies.' Personally I wouldn't, therefore, want to accept Blog Soldiers opinion regarding AdSense. I'd say that if you use AdSense, don't use Hit Exchanges. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with them otherwise. They do generate visitors. As to the quality of these visitors, that is another matter. You can read the AdSense Program Policies here. There is a section on Invalid Clicks and Impressions. As Google emphasise: 'Failure to comply with this policy may lead to your account being disabled.' As far as I'm concerned that's enough said. Good luck, Mike.
