Money Making Report - Week 20
| I'm now at week 20 of my Money Making Mission. The aim being to try and earn money, using only free blogs and without any capital outlay. I'm through the $900 mark this week, which is great. I wish, though, that the USA dollar hadn't dropped so much in value against the UK pound - but there's not a lot I can do about this. A reminder to UK residents: Save up any USA checks, they usually have a shelf life of 120 or 180 days (which is shown on the checks) and submit them all at once to your bank. This reduces the charges considerably. Last time I paid in 5 checks and was only charged £4. If I had done them singly it would have been £4 per check i.e. £20 in total. Every little helps. Also ask the bank how much they charge and request a lower figure if it seems too high. They seem to make the charge up as they go along. The programs marked with a * are those that have shown an increase this week. I think the figures below are self explanatory. All sums are cumulative for the twenty weeks. Money Commission Junction - £75.85 (Important: see my recent post on CJ. AdSense $95.14* Amazon UK £1.01 You Gov £9.75* Adbrite $0.96 FriendFinderGroup $230.29* Advertising Revenue £36.40 Convergence Inc = $64.60 (over 18's only) Sexy Ads $182.75 (over 18's only) DIY Dating £29.20 Helium $2.93* myLot $40.11* As there are two currencies (USA and UK) involved the totals amount to the equivalent of: UK£476.8 or US$905.94 Moving on now to the blog's visitors. Search Engine Referrals Slightly up again for the week, with a +183 in total. Google still by far the best search engine for referrals. I haven't mentioned it before but I've also now had 117 referrals in total from the Google Blog Search, which are not included in the figures below. Google - 1376 (+169 on week) Technorati - 116 (+3) MSN - 34 (+3) AOL - 20 (0) Yahoo - 8 (+4) Live.com - 2 (0) Metacrawler - 1 (0) Referrals From Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. Pretty much as usual, not a lot of action from the directories. As I have written before many directories aren't worth the effort of joining, from a referral point of view. On Mylot, mine dropped for the first time below $20 (only $12) as I had not time to enter it, and instead conectrated on drawing comissions.
On stastitics, check the $15000-mission blog, Ive listed down every google search term that brought someone to my rpg art site (google is my biggest referrer, 4,000 + visitors came from it), weird, really.

yeah I just read you post regarding Commision junction. I went to go check in to my account with CJ and it said my account was deleted just like yours. It's crazy. So I'e emailed them since they owe me money and I don't think I will be using them again.
