Weekly Money Making Report - Week 22
| I'm now at week 22 of my Money Making Mission. The aim being to try and earn money, using only free blogs and without any capital outlay. At last through the $1000 barrier, thanks mainly to the FriendFinder Group - see proof of earnings. I also managed to reach the magic AdSense $100 and so now qualify for payment. Though, if I've got this right, I won't receive the money until the end of March. All in all quite a decent week, especially as the blog had nearly 300 referrals from search engines, though could definitely do much better! The programs marked with a * are those that have shown an increase this week. I think the figures below are self explanatory. All sums are cumulative for the twenty-two weeks. Money I have removed Commission Junction from my list, though the money received has been included in my totals. I do not want to give them any more publicity. My CJ post refers. AdSense $108.92* Amazon UK £1.01 You Gov £12.50* I have removed Adbrite from the list as I am no longer promoting them. FriendFinderGroup $349.87* Advertising Revenue £36.40 Convergence Inc = $64.60 (over 18's only) Sexy Ads $182.75 (over 18's only) DIY Dating £29.20 Helium $3.74* myLot $43.70* As there are two currencies (USA and UK) involved the totals amount to the equivalent of: UK£574.14 or US$1033.46 Moving on now to the blog's visitors. Search Engine Referrals A great week for search engine referrals with Google sending me 275 hits. Google's Blog Search also brought in 6 referrals taking their total to 132. Google - 1824 (+275 on week) Technorati - 129 (+6) MSN - 41 (+4) AOL - 23 (+3) Yahoo - 15 (+4) Live.com - 3 (+1) Metacrawler - 1 (0) Total 2036 (+293) Referrals From Blog Directories. Cumulative figures. I'm not sure if there is any real value in posting these figures as the numbers are so small each week. As I have written before many directories aren't worth the effort of joining, from a referral point of view. I'll keep going with the totals for a while longer. To see last years figures see Weekly Report 14. The figures below may give an indication of Blog Directories that may be worth joining. Blog Show Off - 24 (0) King Of The Blogs - 17 (0) Blog Hub - 11 (0) Bloglines - 11 (0) Brit Blog - 9 (+2) Finding Blog - 7 (+1) Top Lists - 7 (+1) Brit Blog - 7 (0) Bestest Blog - 5 (+3) World Top Blogs - 3 (0) Blogdup - 1 (0) Grokodile - 1 (+1) Other Directories, about 40 more - Nil Other Referrals These are my Top Link Exchangers for this week - figures are for 2007 only - with a great 29 referrals from Kumiko's Cash Quest. My thanks, however, go to everyone who has exchanged links with me or has kindly put a link on their blog - it is appreciated very much. Please see their links in the side column under Interesting Blogs, why not click on a few, you never know what you might find. Blog AboutYour Blog 115 (+13 on week) My Quest To Make Money On The Internet 108 (+8) The Gospel According To Rhys 79 (+6) The Million Dollar Experiment 74 (+7) Kumiko's Cash Quest 68 (+29) JCM's RPG Art 58 (10) Hipsterpad 36 (0) Money Money Money 38 (+4) Miscellaneous referrals from all over the place. The main ones being (with cumulative totals) Blogger Forum 263, Klik.Us 70, MyBlogLog 90 and 1000000 Links with 105. I think that covers my week. I hope that by publishing this information, over the weeks to come, it may be of a help to other readers. To see any back reports please click here. Best wishes, Mike. Hi Mike, I came across your blog through technorati.
Would you be interested in exchanging links with me? My site is www.chrisgill.me.uk
You can contact me here when (/if) you do and I'll keep an eye out too and then add you :)
Chris
lol that proves it, BAYB is better than mybloglog lol!
why did you stop promoting adbrite?
Hehe...I had a lot of traffic this week...glad to share!
Kumiko

Hi Mike..
Got a question about your Friend Finder Group earnings.
Were they from this blog or did you have several other blogs that specialized in pushing their program?
If it's from this blog alone.. I have to say that it is very, very impressive indeed. :)
chris: Thanks for the visit. I'll get back to you.
poet: Of course BAYB is better! Adbrite just didn't work for me - the ads didn't seem relevant plus I felt I couldn't run them alongside AdSense. Nothing otherwise wrong with them.
kumiko: Yes, thanks for sharing!
maki: No, it didn't all come from this blog though I have mentioned them several times and have had affiliate referrals this way. Affiliate referrals introduced are worth 10% of what they earn. Otherwise I have found other places to promote them, including blogs.
Thanks everyone,
Mike.
