Money Making Weekly Report - Week 45
| I'm now at week 45 of my Money Making Mission. The aim being to try and earn money, using only free blogs and without any capital outlay. Cumulative earnings are: $2974.49. Below are programs I am currently promoting - in alphabetical order, with a few comments. Adbrite - Nil I said last week that I had resurrected Adbrite for a trial on a celebrity blog. I now realise why I dropped them once before. According to their stats I've had 14453 page impressions but ads have only been shown 32 times! In other words when anyone visits the blog there is rarely an ad on display. So it's thanks, but bye bye to Adbrite for me. AdSense $529.47 My AdSense money has slowed dramatically. I've had $60-$70 a week previously but this week it's been less than $10 - grim! I have been shuffling ads and search boxes around on my celebrity blogs to see if I can rectify the missing clicks. Amazon UK £4.34 ($8.64) A small order that gave me 18p (35c)! AuctionAds $28.58 Some commisssion this week, nothing to add to what I've written previously Autograph Dealer Nil I've now had 13,148 page impressions, 131 clicks but no orders. Not too promising. Convergence Inc $156.60 (over 18's only) $14 from them this week from an old ad. These are adult only products - they offer free websites for those so inclined. DIY Dating £72.99 ($145.25) DIY offer a free dating website with choice of designs and content plus use of their massive database. Has possibilities. Received commission this week. FriendFinderGroup $675.22 My top earner. No problems, commission paid regularly (when over $50). Over 20 websites to promote ranging from Christian and Jewish friendship to Adults and Bondage! Caters for most interests. Helium $12.85 IcePoster Nil myLot $59.28 I'm also waiting approval of $108.81 worth of sponsored posts. Received a payment via PayPal from them this week and on time. It's quite easy money as long as you have the time to write sponsored posts as well as your regular ones. Sexy Ads $287.76 (over 18's only) Well run affiliate program, lots of promotional material if you have the right site on which to promote their various websites. You Gov £47.25 ($94.02) It's gradually creeping upwards. Genuine survey company that want more members from UK, USA and the Middle East. Won't make anyone rich but every little helps. I've also made money from Commission Junction, Cashlinkr, Daytipper, but I no longer promote these. Plus have received additional money from direct advertising and misc. revenue. I would persist with AdBrite a little longer - if you haven't tried their inline ads I'd give them a go because they have quite a high CTR in my experience. Go on - humour me!

i cant seem to figure out how the AdBrite ads work. Anyway, I would like to thank you for helping me so much with my site. Your site has a huge amount of information for beginners like me. Kudos and thanks!
I have a question though. How does DIY work? Do you have to really create a dating site?
Kai: With DIY they will set you up with your own website for free. You choose the design from several templates and give it whatever name you wish. You use their database of members.
You then promote your site and earn commission on any paid new members.
