Money Making Weekly Report - Week 51
I'm now at week 51 of my Money Making Mission. The aim being to try and make money using only free blogs and without any capital outlay. It's been a great week! This is mainly thanks to my Celebrity Insider blog which had 46,511 visitors over the last seven days. On the money front I did well and the new addition to my Money Making Portfolio, Voxant, helped with this. Below are money making programs I am currently promoting - in alphabetical order, with a few comments. AdSense $740.29 A good week. Extra visitors = extra money! Amazon UK £5.58 ($11.16) The context links seem to be working okay as regards getting clicks. Still not getting the orders though. There was one this week with a grand commission of 11p (22c). As I mentioned last week a lot of the problem, as far as making money is concerned, is that my links are for Amazon UK and a lot of my visitors are from USA and the rest of the world - who are unlikely to place an order on a UK website. Not sure quite what to do about this. AuctionAds $30.13 Not over happy with AuctionAds. I was still getting blank spaces early last week so in a fit of pique I removed them completely from most of my blogs. I can't stand to see spaces that should be filled - makes the blogs look uncared for! I'll put some ads on again during the week and see if this has now been corrected. Convergence Inc $156.60 (over 18's only) Again didn't promote this last week. Adult only products. They provide a free website - providing you can find a way to market it. Not suitable, for example, on this blog. They pay out on time and also small amounts. I've had checks sent to me as low as $3.50. DIY Dating £72.99 ($145.25) DIY also offer a free dating website with choice of designs and content plus use of their massive database. Has possibilities. FriendFinderGroup $715.76 I'm not doing quite as well with FriendFinder recently, perhaps because my efforts are being directed elsewhere. It's a well run affiliate program though. Over 20 websites to promote ranging from Christian and Jewish friendship to Adults and Bondage! Caters for most interests. Helium $14.07 I haven't had the time to do anything with this. myLot $60.11 Haven't been on their website over the last week, again haven't had the time. Still going well for me plus the payments have been made on time i.e. exactly 30 days from first publishing the sponsored posts. Sexy Ads $322.73 (over 18's only) A well run, efficient affiliate program - if suitable for your blog! Tradedoubler £2.38 ($4.76) Have just joined this. Similar system to Commission Junction but Europe based. Will write more on this in the future. Voxant $114.49 Good start, joined last Monday. I wrote a follow up post here. You Gov £55.00 ($110.00) Genuine survey company - they want more panel members in UK, USA and the Middle East. Get paid for completing surveys and polls. Miscellaneous $616.65 From such things as links, sponsored blogs, adverts etc. Total $3899.22 I've also made money from Commission Junction, Cashlinkr, Daytipper, but no longer promote these. That's it for another week! Good luck, Mike. Write a review of this post and earn $7.50! Click button below for details. Mike, great job for the week! I'm amazed with Voxant - I'd be eager to hear from you when you have received payment.
Also, just curious, but did the majority of your week's Adsense revenue come from your celebrity site? I am assuming that is the site with the most traffic at the moment?
Great job..Mike
I am working for some dating sites.. but never made such a lot of money as you.. most money i made is from a site named millionairemtch.com... did you try it?
Eager to hear from you.
Good job, Mike. I recall when you first started and the income has been building up a head of steam for you ever since. You might remember I decided to take the opposite approach to build traffic first, and soon I will be at the 10000 uniques a month and it will be time for me to start monetizing my site.
Then when I see you got 46000 visitors in a week that would be to die for, so I think you are going to streak into the distance with that one! Good decision to monetize from day one!
cheers
Ed
Good point that you brought up, Ed. When I started, the general advice was to build up the traffic first. But then someone told me that even if you get only 10 visitors a day and only 1 of them generates revenue of some sort, that is still revenue. So as long as we maintain a nice balance, it is still possible to monetise from day one.
Not quite sure that I follow your Helium comment. What can you do with the articles after you have uploaded them to Helium? Surely they take care of themselves?
congratulations. i also have a celebrity blog. very new but been having a good traffic lately with as high as 14thousand on one day.. but now am back to at least a thousand..
i got mentioned by slate.com and boom the traffic burst.
yc: Thanks - Yes majority of AdSense revenue arrived from the celebrity blogs. Will keep everyone updated about Voxant.
zoesmith: No haven't tried (or seen)millionairemtch.com. I'll have a look later on.
ed: It was an exceptional week. Just lucky to have had the info that people wanted to read. When to monetize - now that would make a good debate!
yc: As above. There are two opposing opinions - but even a few cents helps (and encorages).
the exile: I like to be pro-active and, even with Helium, articles can be promoted on relevant forums etc.
talking idiot: Now you've made me envious with that 14,000! Interesting what you say about slate.com.
Thanks all,
Mike.
