Make Money Doing Virtually Nothing
Perhaps I got out of bed on the wrong side or something today but I'm a bit narked. Some clown is copying virtually every post I write on this blog. Obviously I'm not going to give any links for him. It'll be interesting to see if he copies even this one. He might though as he is doing everything automatically. Maybe I shouldn't moan as he also publishes any links I include in a post. What I don't like is that he hasn't even the basic politeness to ask if it's okay to copy stuff I have written. But there again he's bone idle and doesn't bother to write posts. Why should he when he can pinch other people's stuff? I traced his original blog. He did actually try and write about eight posts all by himself but then gave up in August because he decided stealing other bloggers posts was a darn sight easier. To quote his final post (no, I didn't ask his permission!) "I've especially noticed at some posts concerned to the automated blog. It sounds interesting. So there you go, that's how to make money without doing virtually anything yourself. Is this the secret to successfully making money with blogs? Not really because you still need traffic and traffic is the real secret of success with blogging. That's my moan over for this week. Good luck, Mike. P.S. I must point out though that there are many excellent, honourable bloggers! Celebrity Insider - Photos & News: News and photos of worldwide celebrities. Labels: making money |

Hit him where it hurts Mike. If the guy is running adsense, then notify Google of the copywrite infringement. That will either take the posts down, or cut off his finances.
Or you can do another thing that I like to do since it sounds like its just an automated splog.
In your posts somewhere within the first 150 words link to your own site with some juicy anchor text that you are trying to rank in on the search engines like 'making money online'. What this does is use the splog's auto feed to give your blog some SEO, and another point on Technorati authority.
I had a few sites that were scraping my content and then leaving a trackback on my site. I decided t leave the trackback but delete the link the were providing.

I hope you left a strongly worded message on his blog.
I'm not sure reporting to Google is worth while (though you could try). Google makes money out of these scraper sites because they all run adsense. That's why google tolerates them, even while they clobber the poor blogger doing decently written sponsored posts.
There is only one way to stop this, which is to convert your feed to "short", which forces them to click through to your blog to read the rest - but feed subscribers hate this unfortunately.
Ahh, that's happened to me too. I try and weave lots of internal links into my posts so at least if someone rips them off I get some backlinks out of it. Sadly it isn't really worth the effort of pursuing it any further.
the same thing happened to me. I thing the blog that was rippig off my content was responsible for getting my own blog penalized for duplicated content.
i've had my posts stolen a few times already. found out via trackbacks. it something we just have to live with. sorry this happened to u mike
Sadly there are always someone who wants to cheat their way to success. From what I have read google do take this seriously, both in terms of google search and adsense copyright infringement. Or file a DCMA report with the host, for more information you best see this discussion as I'm not the best person to explain -->http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/showthread.php?t=1182
Best of luck

He's based in Vietnam, so your chances of getting anyone to do anything are about nil.
To be fair he does stick an acknowledgement at the bottom of each post stating where he nicked it from. The links will help you.
The rum thing about this is that I have my very own article directory. It only has a few articles in it, but you and anyone else are welcome to go along and take whatever you want.
Now, there are thousands of these directories. Why not take stuff from one of them instead of pillaging like this?
More good news, the silly sod has put his Bidvertiser box on top of his Adsense one!
Are they using Adsense or any kind of advertising? Send an email to the advertisers advising that they are stealing your content and get them banned.
Thank you all for the informative and interesting comments. I don't think this sort of thing will go away. In fact it'll probably get worse!
Mike.
I have left some advice on MyBlogLog Sunday, Totally tongue in cheek, you understand!!!!
